For the past 20 years, I’ve been fortunate to help hundreds of families across Southern California turn houses into the homes they’ve always imagined. I started my career working with some of the best firms in the region, learning every side of the business, from the drawing board to the final walk-through. After two decades of building other people’s visions, I knew it was time to create something of my own. A company that puts the client’s lifestyle, budget, and peace of mind above everything else.
That’s why I founded Nova Home Builders.
We’re a true design-build firm based in Santa Monica, which means we can take you from that first napkin sketch all the way to the day you turn the key under one roof, with one point of contact (me). I personally handle the space planning and project management on every job because I believe those two things are what separate an okay remodel from a home that feels right for the people living in it.
Whether it’s opening up a cramped kitchen in Venice, adding a light-filled primary suite in Encino, rebuilding after hardship in Pacific Palisades, or constructing a brand-new ground-up home in the Hollywood Hills, we’ve done it all! small bathroom refreshes, whole-house remodels, room additions, and new construction from the ground up.
We love collaborating with your architect or interior designer, and we’re happy to bring our own trusted designers to the table when you want a seamless experience. As long as the design is thoughtful and buildable, we’ll make it happen.

We’ve been working with Sam since September 2018 well before he founded Nova Home Builders. When we decided to relocate from Miami to Los Angeles. Our home purchase hinged on finding a reliable team capable of handling a full renovation while we were still living across the country.
With just a few days to prepare plans that would satisfy the city’s strict requirements, and having never met in person only communicating via email and brief phone calls. Sam Alshech quickly understood our vision and turned it into a comprehensive set of drawings that sailed through approvals. Even while traveling out of town, Sam worked tirelessly to meet the tight deadline, enabling us to confidently close on the property.
